Badam Ka Halwa

This recipe is very easy to make and very delicious. It is very nutritious for growing children and pregnant ladies and is specially made in India on festivals and other occasions. Badam(almonds) is very good for brain, skin and hair. Savour it!!

  • Badam(almonds)------ (2 cups)
  • Milk------------------- (1 cup)
  • Ghee(fat)--------------(1 cup)
  • Sugar------------------(2 1/2 cups)
  • Kesar(saffron) Colour-- (2 drops)

Method Of Preparation:-
  1. Take the almonds (Badam) and soak them in hot water.
  2. Leave them for one hour. Now take out the outer skin and grind them with milk and make a paste.
  3. In the mean while make sugar syrup by boiling sugar in water till it reaches one string consistency.
  4. Now add the paste and cook it till it thickens.
  5. Add kesar(saffron) and stir and in the last add ghee slowly by stirring continuously on the low heat.
  6. Cook it for 2 minutes and remove from heat.
